Brilliant! You said it- we are just numbers not people…in any walk of life. We seem to have this insatiable need to quantify in order to appreciate. The rat race always existed and social media with its fans, likes etc is just hurrying up the process. It all stems up, I believe, from a need to be endorsed by someone else since we lack self worth. The social media can create havoc in young minds but is damaging to adults too. On the bright side, since there are people who are increasingly aware of the ills of social media we can hope that this crazy phase shall also pass.
